(Sports Network) - The Philadelphia 76ers will open a two-game road trip tonight against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
Philadelphia will also visit Charlotte and is 8-14 away from home this season. The Sixers have lost two in a row and eight of their last 10 games, including Wednesday's 86-78 setback to the Detroit Pistons in the finale of a three-game homestand at the Wachovia Center.
Willie Green had a team-high 16 points for Philadelphia, while Andre Iguodala had 15 points and Samuel Dalembert finished with 13 rebounds and eight points in defeat. Lou Williams scored 13 off the bench, as the 76ers went 1-2 on the stand and fell to 8-13 as the host in 2007-08.
The Knicks have lost two of their last three games after a three-game winning streak, and suffered a 109-93 setback to the Boston Celtics on Monday in the opener of a short two-game homestand.
Zach Randolph had 24 points and 15 boards for the Knicks, who fell to 9-14 at MSG this season. Jamal Crawford netted 22 points and Eddy Curry had 19 points in a losing effort.
Friday's game between Philly and New York is the third of four meetings this season. The Sixers, who will host the Knicks on February 20, have won the first two matchups this season, four straight overall and eight of the last nine encounters in the series.
Philadelphia has won two straight and three of its last four at New York.
