Los Angeles Clippers (13-25) at New Orleans Hornets (29-12), 8 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The red-hot New Orleans Hornets attempt to extend their season-best winning streak to seven games when they welcome the Los Angeles Clippers tonight to New Orleans Arena.

New Orleans wraps up a five-game homestand on Friday. On Wednesday, Jannero Pargo scored a season-high 24 points off the bench, as the Hornets earned a 96-81 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

Chris Paul finished with 18 points and 10 assists for New Orleans, which has won six in a row and 14 of its last 16 games. David West finished with 22 points in the victory, while Tyson Chandler netted nine points and pulled down 14 rebounds.

The Hornets, who have won five in a row as the host, are 14-7 at home this season. They will visit Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday at the AT&T Center.

Los Angeles tries to win back-to-back games tonight, as it opens a short two- game road trip. Chris Kaman scored 20 points and grabbed 21 rebounds for the Clippers, who knocked off the Sacramento Kings, 111-85, at the Staples Center.

Rookie Al Thornton ended with 23 points and nine rebounds off the bench for the Clippers, who have won two of their last three games. Corey Maggette poured in 21 points, and Tim Thomas finished with 17 points in the victory.

The Clippers will visit Rudy Gay and the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday at FedExForum.

This is the third meeting of the campaign between the Clippers and Hornets, who won a pair of contests at the Staples Center this season and won four in a row in the series.

The Clippers have lost three of their last four at the Hornets.

New Orleans is scheduled to host the Clippers on April 15th in the final meeting of the season between the clubs.
