(Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Clippers play the middle contest of a three-game homestand when they host the Utah Jazz this afternoon at the Staples Center.

This is the second meeting of the campaign between the clubs. On January 18th, Carlos Boozer led a balanced Utah attack with 19 points and 10 rebounds as the Jazz earned a 106-88 victory over the Clippers at EnergySolutions Arena.

Utah has lost five of six and six of its last eight at the Clippers. The Jazz have won four of the last five contests in the series.

The Clippers opened the homestand with a victory. Corey Maggette scored 31 points, including two free throws late in overtime, and had seven rebounds and six assists to lead the Clippers past the New Jersey Nets, 120-107, at the Staples Center.

Rookie Al Thornton and veteran Sam Cassell registered 22 points apiece for the Clippers, who have won two of three after dropping four in a row. Cuttino Mobley had 19 points in the victory, while center Chris Kaman ended with 10 points, 12 rebounds and a career-high nine blocked shots.

Los Angeles is 7-13 as the host this season. The Clippers will host the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday at the Staples Center.

The Jazz will also try to win back-to-back games today. Ironically, their last game was on January 18th against the Clippers. In the victory, Ronnie Brewer and Mehmet Okur scored 12 points apiece, Matt Harpring netted 11 and Jason Hart scored 10 off the bench for the Jazz.

Utah is 6-15 on the road this season. The Jazz will host Sacramento on Friday at EnergySolutions Arena.
