(Sports Network) - The Golden State Warriors go for their third straight victory when they welcome the woeful Minnesota Timberwolves today to ORACLE Arena.
This is the fourth and final meeting of the campaign between the clubs. The Warriors are 3-0 against Minnesota and have won five straight in the series.
Minnesota has lost five straight after winning its last two at Golden State.
The Warriors open a three-game homestand against Minnesota. Al Harrington scored 27 points and the Warriors used a dominant third quarter to pull away for a 119-99 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday at the Bradley Center.
Andris Biedrins added 20 points and 10 rebounds for Golden State, which has captured five of its last six games overall. Baron Davis collected 19 points and eight assists in the victory for the Warriors, who swept the season series with Milwaukee and finished a four-game road trip with a 3-1 record.
Golden State is 11-7 at home this season. The Warriors will host the New Jersey Nets on Thursday and the New York Knicks on Sunday at ORACLE Arena.
The Timberwolves have dropped five in a row, and will conclude a three-game road trip at Golden State. On Saturday, Allen Iverson scored 35 points, including the go-ahead free throws, to lead the Denver Nuggets past Minnesota, 111-108, at the Pepsi Center.
Rashad McCants scored 23 points for the Timberwolves, who have dropped 13 of their last 14 games overall. Al Jefferson and Ryan Gomes ended with 20 points apiece, with Jefferson also grabbing 16 rebounds for Minnesota, which lost its 16th straight road game to fall to 1-20 outside of Minneapolis this season.
Minnesota returns home to host Amare Stoudemire and the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday at the Target Center.
The Timberwolves only road victory this season was on November 26, 2007 at New Orleans.
