New Jersey Nets (18-21) at Phoenix Suns (28-12), 8 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The New Jersey Nets play the second of a season-long six- game road trip tonight against the Phoenix Suns tonight at US Airways Center.

This is the first of two meetings between the clubs this season. New Jersey is scheduled to host the Suns on March 29th at the Izod Center.

The Suns have won two in a row and six of the last seven contests in the series. New Jersey has lost 13 straight and 14 of its last 15 at Phoenix.

The Nets last win on the road against the Suns was on March 13, 1993.

New Jersey opened the trip on Saturday at the Clippers. Corey Maggette scored 31 points, including two free throws late in overtime, and had seven rebounds and six assists to lead the Clippers past the Nets, 120-107, at the Staples Center.

Richard Jefferson ended with a team-high 21 points for the Nets, who have lost four in a row and five of their last six games overall. Vince Carter chipped in 20 points and seven rebounds, while Josh Boone collected 17 points and 16 rebounds. Jason Kidd finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists.

The Nets will also visit Sacramento, Golden State, Denver and Minnesota on the current swing. New Jersey is 9-7 on the road this season.

Phoenix finishes a short two-game homestand. On Friday, Amare Stoudemire scored 23 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, and two-time MVP Steve Nash was nearly perfect, as the Suns crushed the woeful Minnesota Timberwolves, 115-95, at US Airways Center.

Nash, who ended with 17 points and 13 assists, made all six of his field goal attempts and all four of his foul shots. Raja Bell added 20 points and Leandro Barbosa scored 19 for Phoenix, which has won two straight and five of its last seven games overall.

After tonight's contest, Phoenix will embark on a four-game road trip. The Suns are scheduled to visit Milwaukee, Minnesota, Cleveland and Chicago on the upcoming swing.

The Suns are 14-4 at home this season. They have won four in a row as the host.
