Minnesota Timberwolves (5-32) at Phoenix Suns (27-12), 9 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The woeful Minnesota Timberwolves attempt to put the brakes on a three-game losing streak when they visit the Phoenix Suns tonight at US Airways Center.

This is the second meeting of the season between the squads. On December 8th, Al Jefferson poured in a career-high 32 points and pulled down 20 rebounds as the Timberwolves stunned Phoenix, 100-93, at the Target Center.

The teams have split the last four contests in the series. Minnesota has lost three straight and four of its last five at Phoenix.

Minnesota opens a three-game road trip against the Suns. On Tuesday, Baron Davis scored 22 points, dished out nine assists and collected five steals to lead the Golden State Warriors past the Timberwolves, 105-98, at the Target Center.

Antoine Walker ended with a game-high 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who have dropped 11 of their last 12 games overall. Jefferson poured in 18 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, while Ryan Gomes netted 15 in defeat.

The Timberwolves, who have dropped 14 in a row as the visitor, are a brutal 1-18 on the road this season . Minnesota is scheduled to visit Denver on Saturday and Golden State on Monday.

Minnesota's only road victory was against the Hornets on November 26, 2007 at New Orleans Arena.

Phoenix is fresh off a big victory, as it opens a short two-game homestand. On Thursday, Leandro Barbosa scored 22 points to lead a balanced Phoenix attack, as the Suns beat the Lakers, 106-98, at the Staples Center.

Two-time MVP Steve Nash totaled 13 points and a season-high 20 assists for the Suns, who bounced back after a loss at the Staples Center two nights before to the Clippers. Shawn Marion finished with 20 points and 16 rebounds in the victory for Phoenix.

The Suns are 13-4 at home this season. They will host the New Jersey Nets on Sunday at US Airways Center.
