(Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Clippers and Utah Jazz meet for the first time this season, as the teams battle tonight at EnergySolutions Arena.

The Jazz were 3-1 against the Clippers last season. LA has lost eight straight and 34 of their last 35 at Utah.

The Clippers try to win back-to-back games for the first time since opening the season with four straight victories. On Tuesday, veteran Sam Cassell scored a game-high 32 points on 15-of-21 shooting as the Clippers snapped a four-game losing streak with a 97-90 victory over the Phoenix Suns at Staples Center.

Corey Maggette ended with 21 points, while Chris Kaman ended with nine points and 18 rebounds for the Clippers, who won for just the second time in 12 games and came out victorious at home for only the second time in 13 games.

LA is 5-10 on the road this season. The Clippers will return home to host the New Jersey Nets on Saturday at the Staples Center.

Utah attempts to get back on the winning track against the Clippers. Linas Kleiza scored a career-high 41 points and grabbed nine rebounds, as the Denver Nuggets beat the Jazz, 120-109, on Thursday at the Pepsi Center.

Deron Williams had 23 points and 12 assists for the Jazz, who had a four-game win streak snapped. Carlos Boozer finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Mehmet Okur and Kyle Korver both scored 16.

The Jazz, who have won six in a row as the host, are 16-3 at home this season. They will visit the Clippers on Monday at the Staples Center.
