(Sports Network) - The New York Knicks will wrap up a four-game homestand this evening versus the Washington Wizards at Madison Square Garden.

New York is 1-2 on the homestand and improved to 8-13 as the host with Sunday's improbable 89-65 victory over the Detroit Pistons. Zach Randolph scored 25 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead the charge

The Knicks won just a day after reports surfaced the team could remove head coach Isiah Thomas before the end of the season. A day later, he engineered the Knicks to a big win against a team he spent his entire playing career with.

Jamal Crawford had all of his 15 points in the third quarter and Nate Robinson finished with 13 for the Knicks, who won for just the second time in its previous 11 games.

Meanwhile, the Wizards will shoot for their fourth straight win when they wrap up a short two-game road trip. They just completed a sweep of the Boston Celtics in a home-and-home set from TD Banknorth Garden on Monday, as Caron Butler scored 21 points and posted seven in the final minute to lead Washington to an 88-83 victory.

Antawn Jamison finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds for Washington, which has won three in a row on the road and improved to 9-8 as the guest in 2007-08. The Wizards topped the Celtics, 85-78, on Saturday at the Verizon Center before handing the best team in the Eastern Conference its first losing streak of the season last night.

Tuesday's game between Washington and New York is the first of three meetings this season. Both teams split four matchups last season, while the Wizards have won two of three, four of six and five of the last eight encounters.

Washington, however, has lost seven of its last nine games in the Big Apple.
