(Sports Network) - The Cleveland Cavaliers open a three-game road trip when they visit the slumping Memphis Grizzlies tonight at FedExForum.
Superstar LeBron James scored 31 points, pulled down a career-high 19 rebounds and dished out eight assists as the Cavaliers used two overtimes to outlast the Charlotte Bobcats, 113-106, on Friday at Quicken Loans Arena.
James scored the first six Cavs points in the decisive second overtime period, while Anderson Varejao added a season-high 16 points and 18 rebounds for Cleveland, which has won five of its last six games overall.
Cleveland is 7-12 on the road this season. The Cavaliers are scheduled to visit the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday at the AT&T Center and the Miami Heat on Monday at AmericanAirlines Arena.
Memphis enters tonight's contest on a four-game losing streak. Kwame Brown hit one free throw with 9.2 seconds left and Kobe Bryant scored 37 points as the Lakers earned a 100-99 win over the Grizzlies at the Staples Center.
Mike Miller ended with 27 points and Pau Gasol contributed 21 points, 18 rebounds, eight assists and four blocks for the Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies, who have dropped four of their last five contests as the host, are 6-12 at home this season. They will host rookie phenom Kevin Durant and the Seattle SuperSonics on Friday at FedExForum.
This is the first of two meetings between the Cavaliers and Memphis this season. Cleveland is scheduled to host the Grizzlies on February 24th at Quicken Loans Arena.
Cleveland has won three in a row in the series. The Cavaliers have also won two of their last three contests at Memphis.
