(Sports Network) - The Southeast Division-leading Orlando Magic will try to get back on the winning track when they host the Chicago Bulls tonight for a showdown at Amway Arena.
The Magic have dropped two in a row and fell to 1-5 in the new year after Saturday's 119-115 setback to the Utah Jazz in the finale of a four-game road trip at EnergySolutions Arena. Dwight Howard recorded a double-double with 29 points and 15 rebounds for Orlando, which wrapped up the trip with a 1-3 mark.
Rashard Lewis netted 27 points, while Jameer Nelson, Hedo Turkoglu and Keyon Dooling each scored 10 points in a losing cause. The Magic will now try to stop a two-game slide at home and are 7-8 as the host this season.
Chicago will resume a four-game road trip on Tuesday and is 7-11 on the road this season. The Bulls, who have alternated wins and losses over their last eight games overall, fell to 1-1 on the trek after Sunday's 105-84 loss to the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena.
Luol Deng scored 28 points in his return to the lineup after missing three games with a sore Achilles tendon for the Bulls. Andres Nocioni had 20 points, Joe Smith 12 points and Kirk Hinrich 11 points for Chicago, which was without Joakim Noah. The rookie was involved in a confrontation with assistant coach Ron Adams in Friday's game at Philadelphia. He was benched for that night's game in Philly and his teammates voted unanimously to sit Noah versus Atlanta.
Noah (disciplinary) is questionable for Tuesday's game against Orlando, while Deng (Achilles) and Hinrich (back) are probable.
The Bulls will also pay a visit to the Miami Heat on the trip.
Orlando defeated the Bulls, 112-110, in overtime on December 31 this season at the United Center. The Magic have won three of four and four of the last six meetings.
Chicago has won six of its last seven trips to Orlando.
