(Sports Network) - The Philadelphia 76ers will shoot for their first win of the new year when they host the Chicago Bulls this evening at the Wachovia Center.
Philadelphia has lost all five games in January and suffered a 109-96 setback to the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday at the Air Canada Centre. Willie Green led Philadelphia with 18 points, while Andre Iguodala and Thaddeus Young both added 16 points for the 76ers, who will try to improve on their 7-10 home record on Friday night.
After tonight's game versus Chicago, the Sixers will hit the road for three games at San Antonio, Houston and Boston.
Meanwhile, the Bulls will open a four-game road trip tonight and are 6-10 away from the Windy City in 2007-08.
Chicago has lost two of three and six of its last 10 games, including Tuesday's 105-100 setback to the New York Knicks at the United Center.
Joe Smith tallied a team-high 22 points with 12 rebounds, while Ben Gordon added 21 off the bench for Chicago, which will visit Philly, Atlanta, Orlando and Miami on the road trip.
Kirk Hinrich poured in 20 points and dished out nine assists for Chicago. In injury news for the Bulls, Hinrich (flu-like symptoms) and forwards Andres Nocioni (flu-like symptoms) and Luol Deng (Achilles) are all questionable for Friday's game against Philadelphia.
Deng has missed the last two games for the Bulls.
Philadelphia recorded a 96-85 victory over Chicago on November 2 this season at the United Center. It has won three of the last five meetings.
The Bulls, though, have won two of three and three of their last five trips to the Wachovia Center.
