(Sports Network) - The Charlotte Bobcats will shoot for their first three-game winning streak of the season when they close out a short road trip tonight against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena.
Charlotte ended a three-game slide with Wednesday's improbable 95-83 victory over the NBA-best Boston Celtics in the opener of the trek at TD Banknorth Garden. Jason Richardson poured in 34 points and pulled down nine rebounds, as Charlotte halted an 11-game losing streak as the visitor.
Nazr Mohammed came off the bench to add 18 points and 10 boards for the Bobcats, who are just 2-11 on the road this season. Gerald Wallace chipped in with 15 points and 10 rebounds to aid the cause.
On the injury front for the Bobcats, guard Derek Anderson is questionable for Friday's game against Cleveland with a bruised right knee.
Cleveland, meanwhile, had a four-game winning streak stopped after Wednesday's 90-81 setback to the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena.
LeBron James had a game-high 31 points to go along with 10 rebounds for the Cavs, who suffered their first loss in the new year (4-1). Devin Brown added 12 points off the bench, while Drew Gooden had a double-double with 10 points and 11 boards in defeat.
In injury news for the Cavs, forward Anderson Varejao (knee/Achilles) is doubtful for Friday's game versus Charlotte.
Charlotte posted a 96-93 win over the Cavaliers on December 8 this season at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. It has won two straight against Cleveland, which is 9-3 all-time against the Bobcats.
The Bobcats have dropped all five matchups at Cleveland.
