New Jersey Nets (17-16) at Charlotte Bobcats (11-21), 7 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The New Jersey Nets will shoot for their sixth straight win this evening, when they close out a short two-game road trip against the Charlotte Bobcats down south.

New Jersey posted its fifth straight win after recording a 113-107 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday at Philips Arena. Vince Carter scored 29 points and Richard Jefferson added 21 for the Nets, who have won four in a row on the road and improved to 9-5 as the guest in 2007-08.

Jason Kidd finished with 10 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists, as New Jersey notched its seventh win over the last eight games overall. In injury news for the Nets, Jefferson is probable for Tuesday's game against Charlotte with a right knee problem.

Kidd has collected triple-doubles in back-to-back games. If the All-Star guard records his third straight, he would be the first player to do it since Detroit's Grant Hill, who registered three in a row during the 1996-1997 campaign.

Meanwhile, the Bobcats have lost three straight and seven of their last eight games, including Sunday's 93-89 home setback to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Gerald Wallace scored 25 points, while Jason Richardson added 21 points and Raymond Felton had 13 points and 10 assists for Charlotte, which has lost two straight at home and is 10-10 as the host in 2007-08.

On the injury front for Charlotte, guard Derek Anderson (knee) is questionable for Tuesday's game against New Jersey.

New Jersey recorded a 102-96 victory over the Bobcats on January 4 at the Izod Center. The Nets have won three straight, five of six and 10 of the 12 all- time meetings with the Bobcats.

The Nets have also won all six matchups at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
