Denver Nuggets (21-12) at Phoenix Suns (23-10), 9 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Phoenix Suns play the third of a four-game homestand when they host the streaking Denver Nuggets tonight at US Airways Center.

This is the first of four meetings between the clubs this season. The Suns were 2-1 against the Nuggets last season, and have won four of the last five contests in the series.

Denver has lost five straight after winning its last two at Phoenix.

The Suns try to bounce back from a tough loss. On Saturday, Chris Paul scored 28 points and dished out 10 assists to help the New Orleans Hornets edge Phoenix, 118-113, at US Airways Center.

Steve Nash finished with 23 points and 11 assists in the loss to the Hornets for Phoenix, which had a four-game winning streak halted. Leandro Barbosa led the Suns with 28 points off the bench, while Grant Hill and Amare Stoudemire both scored 17 in defeat.

Stoudemire (personal) is probable for Phoenix, while Raja Bell (flu-like symptoms) is questionable.

Phoenix is scheduled to host the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday at US Airways Center. The Suns are 10-4 at home this season.

Denver enters tonight's contest on a three-game winning streak. All-Star Allen Iverson torched his former team for 38 points, as the Nuggets downed the Philadelphia 76ers, 109-96, on Sunday at the Pepsi Center.

Iverson was 14-of-25 from the field and dished out eight assists for the Nuggets, who have won six of their last seven games overall. Carmelo Anthony added 23 points and Marcus Camby collected 11 points, 12 rebounds and seven blocks for Denver, which blocked 15 shots in the victory.

The Nuggets are 7-7 on the road this season. They return home to host Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic on Friday at the Pepsi Center.

The 32-year-old Iverson is averaging 33.3 points and 5.0 assists per game in Denver's last three contests.
