Detroit Pistons (24-7) at Washington Wizards (15-14), 7 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Detroit Pistons will try to extend their season-high winning streak to 10 games tonight, when they open a brief two-game road trip against the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center.

Detroit posted its ninth straight win with a 114-69 pummeling of the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Richard Hamilton led five Pistons in double figures with 22 points, while Tayshaun Prince had 15 points and Jarvis Hayes 14 off the bench.

Chauncey Billups added 13 points and 12 assists for the Pistons, who shot a sizzling 58.4 percent from the floor, including an 8-for-15 clip from beyond the three-point line.

The Pistons will also visit Toronto and are 11-5 away from the Motor City this season. They have won three straight road games.

Washington has won two of its last three games, including Saturday's 96-74 triumph over the Miami Heat in the opener of a short two-game homestand at the Verizon Center.

Andray Blatche finished with 18 points and seven rebounds, as the Wizards improved to 9-6 as the host in 2007-08. Caron Butler had 16 points, six rebounds and five assists in a winning cause.

On the injury front for the Wizards, guard Antonio Daniels is probable for Wednesday's game against Detroit with a sprained knee.

Wednesday's game between Detroit and Washington is the first of three meetings this season. Both teams split four matchups in 2006-07.

Washington has won five of the last seven overall meetings, while Detroit has won eight of its last 10 at the Verizon Center.
