(Sports Network) - The Central Division-leading Detroit Pistons are on a roll and will host the Milwaukee Bucks today in a showdown at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
Detroit has won eight in a row and improved to 14-2 in December with Saturday's 98-92 victory over the Indiana Pacers in the back end of a home- and-home series at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Richard Hamilton scored 24 points to lead the Pistons, while Chauncey Billups scored 17 points and handed out seven assists in the win. Rasheed Wallace had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Detroit, which will try to extend its winning streak on the road to seven games.
The Pistons are 12-2 in the Motor City this season.
Milwaukee will open a short two-game road trip on Monday versus Detroit and Miami, and is just 2-14 away from the Bradley Center this season.
The Bucks have lost three straight, five of six and 14 of their last 18 games, including Saturday's 97-95 setback to the New Jersey Nets at home. Michael Redd scored a game-high 35 points and added five rebounds for Milwaukee. Mo Williams added 24 points and dished out six assists, while rookie Yi Jianlian contributed 12 points in defeat.
Detroit has won four straight and nine of the last 11 meetings with Milwaukee, which suffered a 117-91 home loss in the series on December 1 this season.
Milwaukee is just 1-7 in its last eight trips to Motown.
