Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - Paul Konerko hit a two-run homer and John Danks scattered four hits over seven-plus scoreless innings as Chicago topped Kansas City, 3-0, in the finale of a three-game series from Kauffman Stadium.
Danks (11-8) fanned three and walked one to record his first win since August 16.

The Sox got on the board in the first on Thome's sacrifice fly. Dewayne Wise singled with one out, and was followed by Jermaine Dye's base hit, which put Wise at third. He scored on Thome's fly out to short left.
Danks retired 11 in a row from hitting John Buck with one out in the second until David DeJesus' leadoff base hit in the sixth.
Konerko's two-run homer in the seventh made it 3-0 for Chicago, and Danks pitched around a double in the home half to keep the shutout intact.
After Alberto Callaspo singled to start the eighth, Matt Thornton came on to send down DeJesus on a fielder's choice and Aviles on a fly out.
