Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Josh Willingham hit the go-ahead RBI double in the eighth and the Florida Marlins went on to post a 7-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies, in the finale of a three-game series from Citizens Bank Park.

Luis Gonzalez hit a two-run home run and singled to start the eighth while Dan Uggla knocked in two runs with a pair of doubles for Florida, which won its second straight after a three-game slide.

Ricky Nolasco (14-7) gave up seven hits and three runs in 7 2/3 innings to get the win. The right-hander walked one and struck out eight in his ninth straight start with three runs or less allowed.

Ryan Howard hit his major-league leading 42nd homer of the season, while Chris Coste and Jayson Werth drove in the other runs for Philadelphia, losers in three of its last four.

Brett Myers (9-11) was charged with four runs on eight hits and one walk over 7 1/3 innings, while fanning nine in the loss. It was only Myers' second loss since returning from a brief minor league stint in early July. The 28- year-old right-hander had won each of his last four starts entering the game.

The loss dropped the club 3 1/2 games back of the division-leading New York Mets. New York slugged out a 13-10 win over Washington later Wednesday. Philadelphia is also four back of Milwaukee for the NL wild card spot as the Brewers knocked off Cincinnati 4-3 earlier Wednesday.

"We have to come out tomorrow and beat Milwaukee," Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said. " Last year we were hot and playing good (at this time). We'll come back tomorrow and see what we can do."

Myers settled down following Gonzalez's home run, retiring 10 straight from the fourth until the eighth when Gonzalez started the frame with a single. Myers got Uggla to go down swinging but Mike Jacobs moved pinch-runner Brett Carroll to third with a single, signaling Myers exit.

"He (Myers) got a little tired there but he threw real well," Manuel said of Myers' outing. "I wanted to get through the eighth so I sent him out."

Chad Durbin entered and gave up a ground-rule double to Willingham that put the Marlins up one. Durbin then gave Dallas McPherson a free pass before getting Paul Lo Duca to ground into an inning-ending double play.

Philadelphia went down in order in the home half and the Fish tacked on three insurance runs in the ninth. Durbin exited in favor of J.C. Romero after putting two men on with two down. Romero grooved a fastball to Uggla, who ripped a two-run double to center. Clay Condrey replaced Romero and allowed an RBI single to Wes Helms for a 7-3 lead. Matt Lindstrom hurled a scoreless ninth to keep it that way.

Howard sent a solo blast out to right field in the second inning for a 1-0 lead but Gonzalez put the Fish up 2-1 with a two-run homer to right one inning later. Hanley Ramirez reached with a walk prior to Gonzalez's at-bat.

The Phils tied the game with two in the fifth. Greg Dobbs led off with a single and scored on a double to left-center from Coste. Myers sacrificed Coste to third and Werth knocked him in with a two-out single to left.
