Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Ruben Gotay doubled home the game-winning run in the ninth to give the Braves a 16-14 victory over the Florida Marlins in the second of three games at Dolphin Stadium.

Kelly Johnson and Omar Infante both had four hits, with Johnson driving in four runs and Infante three. Six players had multi-hit games for the Braves, who despite the win have still lost 17 of 22 games.

Charlie Morton didn't fare very well, allowing seven runs -- four earned -- on five hits and three walks in 3 1/3 innings, with two strikeouts. Jorge Julio (1-0) picked up the win despite giving up the game-tying run in the eighth.

Mike Gonzalez got his eighth save of the year and his 38th consecutive save, the longest active streak in the majors.

Alfredo Amezaga drove in five runs on two hits and Cody Ross went 3-for-5 for the Marlins, losers of four out of six.

Anibal Sanchez struggled through only three innings, giving up six runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out four. Matt Lindstrom (3-3) suffered the loss for the second straight game after giving up two runs in the ninth.

Trailing 13-10, the Braves kept the offense rolling in the top of the sixth. Atlanta loaded the bases with no outs off Logan Kensing, and Brandon Jones hit a two-RBI single to cut the deficit to one.

Kensing was replaced by Joe Nelson, who immediately gave up a check-swing two- run double to pinch-hitter Greg Norton, giving Atlanta a 14-13 lead.

"I don't know how many missed opportunities you have when you score 14 runs," said Florida's Mike Jacobs. "It was a battle by both sides and they came out on top."

The Marlins tied it in the eighth off Julio. Luis Gonzalez walked, and Brett Carroll pinch-ran. Carroll went to second on a wild pitch, and Ross singled to put men on the corners with no outs. John Baker followed with an RBI single to tie the game.

Atlanta scored two runs in the ninth off Lindstrom. Martin Prado walked and was bunted to second. Gotay followed with a pinch-hit RBI double and Johnson hit an RBI single to make it 16-14.

"It's tough when we had a 10-3 lead then all of a sudden they (Marlins) tie it up. We kept battling and kept playing hard until the chance comes and it came to me and I got the job done. As long as my team wins, that's what I wanted."

Josh Anderson gave the Braves an early 1-0 lead in the first with a leadoff home run.

The Marlins took the lead in the home first. Hanley Ramirez reached on a throwing error and scored on Jorge Cantu's sacrifice fly. Jacobs followed with his 28th home run of the season, giving the Marlins a 2-1 edge. Dan Uggla reached on another error later in the first and scored on a Luis Gonzalez RBI double.

The Braves scored five runs in the third. Yunel Escobar and Brian McCann hit singles to put runners on the corners, and Infante hit an RBI single to plate one and Johnson followed with an RBI double to tie the game at three.

Jeff Francoeur gave Atlanta a 6-3 lead in the frame with a three-run homer -- his 11th of the season -- to left.

Mark Hendrickson came on in the fourth, but Atlanta widened its lead. Anderson hit a leadoff double, stole third and scored on Prado's RBI single. Escobar singled and McCann hit into a fielder's choice, leaving runners on the corners. Infante and Johnson followed with doubles to make it 10-3.

The Marlins answered with six runs in the bottom of the fourth. Ross doubled and after two walks loaded the bases, Amezaga tripled. Buddy Carlyle came on in relief, and following Jacobs' RBI single to plate Amezaga, Uggla hit a two- run homer to draw Florida within 10-9.

Florida moved ahead in the fifth. Ross hit a double, and Jeff Ridgway was brought in. Baker singled to put runners on the corners, and Blaine Boyer gave up a single to Paul Lo Duca which plated Ross and tied the game. The Marlins soon after loaded the bases, and a wild pitch allowed the go-ahead run to score. Amezaga singled home two more runs for a 13-10 lead.
