Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Jeff Baker belted the go-ahead home run in the sixth inning, and the Colorado Rockies used an efficient start from Jorge De La Rosa to upend the Cleveland Indians, 6-3, to finish off a three-game sweep, their first of the season.
De La Rosa (2-3) was credited with the win after giving up three runs on just four hits, snapping a seven-start winless stretch. The southpaw fanned 10, paving the way for the Rockies' fifth win in six games.
Colorado's offense roped 14 hits -- three from Willy Taveras. Matt Holliday recorded a pair of run-scoring singles for the victors.
Jeremy Sowers (0-2), who hasn't won in over a year, was ripped for 10 hits and four runs -- three earned -- in taking the loss.
"I thought he was pretty good tonight, he gave us a chance to win the game," said Indians manager Eric Wedge of Sowers. "He competed, he made some good pitches ... We just weren't able to get anything going offensively."
Ben Francisco hit a two-run home run and Casey Blake went 3-for-4 with two doubles and solo shot for the Indians, who have lost four of their last five.
Francisco gave the Indians a quick two-run lead in the first. Grady Sizemore opened with a single and Francisco followed two batters later by sending a high fly to center that found its way to the seats.
But it was all Colorado from there. Omar Quintanilla beat out an infield hit and scored on a Holliday single in the home first, cutting the deficit in half.
Yorvit Torrealba tied the game in the fourth, as Garrett Atkins scored on his infield dribbler between third and short. Holliday's second RBI single came an inning later, as Taveras came around to give Colorado a 3-2 lead.
In the sixth, Blake tied the game with a two-out, solo round-tripper to center, but Baker answered with a leadoff homer in the bottom half, an opposite field blast for his fourth homer of the season.
The Rockies added two insurance runs in the seventh. Atkins singled up the middle to knock in Taveras, who opened the frame with a single off reliever Masa Kobayashi. After an intentional walk loaded the bases, Brad Hawpe brought home a run with a flared single to right.
Atkins was thrown out at home on the play, but the three-run lead was more than enough for the Rockies' bullpen.
Manny Corpas and Taylor Buchholz hurled perfect seventh and eighth innings, respectively, and Brian Fuentes worked around a one-out double to finish off his 13th save of the campaign.
"I don't think we played particularly well tonight," said Wedge. "I don't think our approach tonight was very good at all, and they took it right to us."
