MLB Game Summary - Pittsburgh at Chicago White Sox

Final Score: Pittsburgh 2 - Chicago WSox 8

Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Mark Buehrle baffled the Pirates through eight innings and the White Sox slugged three home runs in Chicago's 8-2 victory over Pittsburgh in the second game of a three-game interleague series at U.S. Cellular Field.

Buehrle (4-6) allowed just four hits, two walks and a pair of runs in the victory, moving to 3-0 all-time against the Pirates.

A day after scoring a season-high 16 runs, Chicago's offense didn't miss a beat with Toby Hall, Carlos Quentin and Brian Anderson hitting a home run apiece. Nick Swisher recorded a two-run double in the White Sox's second straight win.

Chicago native Tom Gorzelanny (5-6) pitched well but took the loss as three of the five hits the lefty allowed were home runs. He tossed six innings, recording four runs, four walks and four strikeouts.

Jose Bautista homered and scored twice, and Luis Rivas plated the other run for the Pirates, who have lost four of their last five.

Hall got the Sox on the board in the second with a two-run bomb. With a runner on, Gorzelanny hung a breaking ball that Hall smoked into the bullpen beyond the left field wall for his first home run of the season.

With Buehrle dealing on the other end, Quentin connected on his 17th home run of the season in the fifth, a solo blast for a 3-0 Chicago lead.

Buehrle allowed just a walk through five innings, but his first pitch in the sixth was tattooed for a home run. Bautista, who has homered in three of his last four games, turned on a changeup and sent it down the left field line and over the wall.

Anderson brought the run right back in the bottom half with a solo shot of his own, and Chicago's three-run seventh broke the game open.

Jim Thome blooped a ball over the left side of the infield to score Orlando Cabrera, who started the frame with a single off reliever Tyler Yates. Swisher followed two batters later with a shot to the opposite-field gap, scoring a pair and giving the Sox a commanding six-run lead.

Rivas singled in a run for the Pirates in the eighth, but his error in the bottom of the frame plated the final run of the game for the Sox.

Bobby Jenks came on in relief of Buehrle and tossed a scoreless ninth.
