Flushing, NY (Sports Network) - Saturday's interleague matchup between the Texas Rangers and New York Mets at Shea Stadium was postponed because of heavy rain and will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday.
The Mets will send John Maine (6-4) to the hill in the first game, which is scheduled to begin at 1:10 p.m. (et). Pedro Martinez (1-0) will start the second game for New York. Kevin Millwood (4-3) is slated to start the opener for Texas and Kason Gabbard (1-2) will toe the rubber in the second game.
Saturday's game was called after a delay of more than two hours.
