National League Game Summary - Florida at Atlanta

Final Score: Florida 6 - Atlanta 4

Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Hanley Ramirez homered twice, including a two- run shot which broke a tie in the ninth inning and sent Florida past Atlanta, 6-4, in the third installment of a four-game set from Turner Field.

Ramirez ended the game 2-for-3 and scored three runs while Mike Rabelo finished 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, also in the ninth, for the Marlins, who snapped a three-game losing skid.

"We've had a lot of tough losses. We've just got to wake up one way or another," said Ramirez.

Justin Miller (2-2) evened his record by hurling two innings of scoreless relief. Mark Hendrickson gave up nine hits and four runs over six innings in his start.

Jeff Francoeur and Josh Anderson collected two hits and drove in a run each for the Braves, who have dropped four of six. Yunel Escobar and Greg Norton also knocked in a run apiece.

Manny Acosta (3-3) took the loss, charged with four runs on four hits while recording one out in the ninth. It ruined a solid outing for starter Tom Glavine, who was in line for the win after yielding six hits and two runs over five full frames.

In the ninth, Acosta allowed a leadoff single to Cody Ross followed by a game- tying two-run blast from Rabelo. Two batters later Jorge Cantu doubled, then Ramirez unloaded his second blast of the game to left-center for a 6-4 Marlins lead. Royce Ring was called in and retired the next two batters to limit the damage.

Kevin Gregg allowed just a one-out walk in his scoreless half-inning to record his 11th save.

"It's always tough mentally when you lose a game when the other team comes back, but particularly when it's the last inning," said Glavine. "You just hope that somewhere along the line you get a few yourself to make up for it."

Glavine ran into trouble early, giving up a leadoff walk to Ramirez and a one- out base on balls to Wes Helms. Jacobs came through with an RBI single to right before Luis Gonzalez grounded into an inning-ending double play.

In the home half, Kelly Johnson doubled with one out and later scored the tying run on Norton's base hit.

Rabelo stroked a one-out single in the second, but was thrown out trying to score on Alfredo Amezaga's hit to the gap in left-center. Amezaga wound up at third but failed to score as Hendrickson fanned looking.

Atlanta went ahead in their turn, as Escobar singled home Anderson and Francoeur drove in Escobar two batters later.

However, Ramirez lifted his 10th home run of the season to start the third to bring the visitors within one.

The Braves tacked on an insurance run in the sixth as Omar Infante doubled with one out and scored when Anderson followed with a single up the middle.

Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez was ejected with two outs in the eighth, arguing a call at first base. After grounding slowly to second, Mike Jacobs clearly beat the throw to first but was ruled out by umpire Adrian Johnson.
