National League Game Summary - Philadelphia at Houston

Final Score: Philadelphia 3 - Houston 4

Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Carlos Lee went 2-for-4 with three runs batted in, and Darin Erstad's defense bailed out Doug Brocail in the ninth as the Houston Astros nipped the Philadelphia Phillies, 4-3, in the third of a four- game series at Minute Maid Park.

Michael Bourn went 2-for-4 and scored twice for the Astros, winners in four of their last five. Ty Wigginton went 2-for-3 and scored a run, while Miguel Tejada also went 2-for-4 with a double.

Brian Moehler (2-1) allowed three runs -- two earned -- on four hits in six innings to earn the win, while Brocail notched his second save in place of Jose Valverde, who was unavailable after being hit in the face with a line drive on Friday.

Ryan Howard homered and drove in three runs for the Phillies, who have lost two straight after a three-game win streak. Brett Myers (2-6) surrendered four runs on eight hits in six innings to take the loss.

Up by one, Tim Byrdak, Oscar Villarreal and Wesley Wright kept the Phillies off the board through the eighth, but Pedro Feliz started the ninth with a single to right off Brocail. Chris Coste dumped a soft liner into right-center for a single that moved Feliz to second, and with Greg Dobbs at the plate, Brocail attempted a pick off throw with nobody covering second, as the ball went into center and both runners moved up.

Dobbs flew out to shallow center, and Jimmy Rollins was intentionally walked to load the bases. Shane Victorino then flew out to left, and Feliz tried to tag from third. Erstad's throw to the plate was slightly off-target, but Brad Ausmus recovered to make the tag and end the game at home plate.

"They made a great play," said Victorino. "Everything had to go right for them and it did. Nine out of 10 times you're going to score on that play. I guess next time I have to hit it farther."

Victorino reached on an error by Lance Berkman with one out in the first, then Chase Utley worked a one-out walk to put runners on first and second. Howard then flipped a soft fly ball to left that fell just in front of Lee, allowing Victorino to score.

The Astros came right back against Myers in the bottom half. Bourn flipped a leadoff single to right that went under the glove of a diving Geoff Jenkins, and after Bourn stole second, Lance Berkman worked a two-out walk. Myers then hung a 3-2 curve to Lee, who smoked it down the line in left for a two-run double.

Moehler hit Utley with a pitch with one out in the third, and Howard immediately made him pay, pounding an 0-1 curve into the Houston bullpen in right to put the Phils on top.

Bourn doubled to start the fifth, and after a Kaz Matsui popup and a Tejada fly ball sent Bourn to third, Berkman worked a walk. Lee then smashed a liner to left that scored Bourn. Pat Burrell's throw to second got by Utley and Berkman tried to come home, but Howard picked up the ball, spun and fired to the plate to nail Berkman and keep the game tied at three.

But, Myers couldn't preserve the tie in the sixth. Wigginton reached on a one- out infield single, then moved to second when Ausmus flew out to left and Howard mishandled the throw to the infield. Pinch-hitter Mark Loretta then slashed a single up the middle, allowing Wigginton to score the go-ahead run.
