National League Game Summary - Milwaukee at Florida

Final Score: Milwaukee 2 - Florida 6

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Jorge Cantu and Dan Uggla hit back-to-back home runs in the sixth inning, and the Florida Marlins easily handled the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-2, in the middle contest of a three-game set at Dolphin Stadium.

The Marlins won the series opener on Tuesday, 3-0, behind 8 2/3 shutout innings from Scott Olsen.

Mike Jacobs hit a two-run double in the third -- before leaving the game with a tight left quad -- as the Marlins won their third in a row. Hanley Ramirez collected two hits, two walks and two runs scored, while Jeremy Hermida knocked in a run and scored a run.

Burke Badenhop (1-2) dominated the early innings before running into trouble, but still earned his first major league win after allowing two runs on two hits in 5 2/3 innings, racking up a career-high seven strikeouts.

Rickie Weeks hit a two-run homer for the Brewers, who are mired in a five-game losing streak. Dave Bush (0-4) took the loss after being charged with six runs on five hits in six frames.

Weeks' homer snapped a 22-inning scoreless streak for the Brewers that stretched back to the fourth inning of Sunday's 8-6, 12-inning loss to Houston.

"I don't know if it's a sense of tension," said Brewers manager Ned Yost. "They do get frustrated at times. I think anybody does. Nobody likes going through a losing streak, at all. These guys don't like this. So, there is a bit of frustration. I wouldn't say there's tension."

With Badenhop cruising through the early innings, the Marlins jumped on Bush for three runs in the bottom of the third.

Bush hit Mike Rabelo to start the frame, and Badenhop moved Rabelo to second with a sacrifice bunt. Alfredo Amezaga was called out on strikes, but Hermida flared a double to right that dropped just in front of a sliding Corey Hart. Ramirez drew a walk, then Jacobs crushed a long fly ball that bounced off the top of the wall in right to score two more.

Jacobs pulled up on the basepaths and hobbled into second base before being lifted for Wes Helms, who finished the game at first base.

Badenhop retired the first 11 batters he faced before Ryan Braun grounded a single up the middle in the fourth.

"After your last outing you try to go out there and improve on what you did, and probably you put pressure on (yourself) to come out and have a good outing," Badenhop said. "So, it's nice to finally get over that winning threshold."

The Brewers finally got to Badenhop in the top of the sixth, as Jason Kendall led off with an infield single, then Weeks launched a monstrous home run that landed deep in the left field seats. Mike Cameron followed by stroking a single to right and two outs later, Hart worked a walk to end Badenhop's night. Doug Waechter came on in relief and fanned Bill Hall to escape the inning.

The Marlins padded the lead in the bottom of the frame, as Ramirez worked a leadoff walk, and one out later Cantu unloaded on a fastball and deposited it into the stands in left-center. Uggla immediately followed by launching a homer over the scoreboard in left

Renyel Pinto pitched two scoreless innings to close out the game.
