Bronx, NY (Sports Network) - Cliff Lee was brilliant through seven innings to keep his 2008 road earned run average at 0.00 for the Indians, as Cleveland edged the New York Yankees, 3-0, in the second installment of a three-game series from Yankee Stadium.

Lee (6-0) allowed just six hits and fanned seven batters for the Indians, who took the first two games of this series. Rafael Betancourt earned his fourth save of the year after he pitched a perfect ninth inning.

"I'm just trying to go out there and put up zeroes, get us as deep into the game as I can and give us the best chance to win," Lee said.

Jhonny Peralta and Ben Francisco both recorded a pair of base hits in the win, while David Dellucci added an RBI. Though Cleveland tallied seven hits, none went for extra bases.

Chien-Ming Wang (6-1) took the loss despite a solid effort. The Yankees' ace yielded three runs on five hits in seven frames on the hill.

"He (Wang) gave us seven good innings and unfortunately we couldn't get him any runs," New York manager Joe Girardi said.

Bobby Abreu went 2-for-4 with a double and was the only Yankee with a multi- hit game. Shelley Duncan also clubbed a double in defeat, and Hideki Matsui extended his hit streak to 16 games with a bloop single in the second inning.

The Indians wasted no time getting on the board. Grady Sizemore led the game off with a walk, moved to second on a single from Francisco and held at third on Dellucci's force out. Victor Martinez then plated Sizemore with a sacrifice fly to Abreu in right.

Cleveland tacked on another run in the fourth. Peralta got on base with a single up the middle and moved to second on Asdrubal Cabrera's ground out. Casey Blake then cracked a line drive single to right field to score Peralta, and the Indians were up 2-0.

It was first and second after Andy Marte clubbed a single and Sizemore drew a walk. Dellucci then singled up the middle, allowing Marte to cross home. The Indians were sitting on a 3-0 lead heading into the home portion of the fifth inning.

Abreu started a two-out rally by legging out an infield single in the sixth, and Duncan followed with a double down the left field line that made it second and third. Matsui, however, was unable to capitalize and went down swinging on a 1-2 curveball, and New York's threat was over.

The Indians had a one-out, bases loaded threat in the ninth off Jonathan Albaladejo. Pinch-hitter Travis Hafner got on top of the ball, though, and it rolled only a few feet in front of the plate. Jose Molina picked it up, stepped on home and threw to first to end the inning.

Betancourt retired Matsui, Melky Cabrera and Robinson Cano in order in the ninth to close out the victory for Cleveland.
