National League Game Summary - San Francisco at Philadelphia

Final Score: San Francisco 3 - Philadelphia 2

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Bengie Molina went 3-for-5 and knocked in the game-winning run in the top of the 10th inning as the San Francisco Giants edged the Philadelphia Phillies, 3-2, in the middle contest of a three- game set.

The teams have traded extra innings wins in the first two games of the series, as Pat Burrell's two-run homer in the 10th gave the Phillies a 6-5 win on Friday.

Randy Winn went 2-for-5 with a run batted in for the Giants, while Fred Lewis belted a solo home run and scored twice. Jack Taschner (1-0) earned the win with a scoreless inning of relief, while Brian Wilson earned his 10th save.

Matt Cain threw seven-plus sparkling innings, allowing two runs on three hits while striking out eight, but did not factor in the decision.

Chase Utley delivered two of Philadelphia's three hits, including a solo homer, while Geoff Jenkins also connected with a solo shot. Rudy Seanez (2-2) took the loss after allowing a run on four hits in the 10th. Brett Myers had his best start of the season, holding the Giants to two runs on six hits in seven frames and racking up 10 strikeouts.

Winn singled off Seanez with one out in the 10th, then picked up San Francisco's fourth stolen base of the game. Molina laced a sharp liner to right that easily plated Winn and gave the Giants the lead. Singles by John Bowker and Rich Aurilia loaded the bases with two outs, but pinch-hitter Jose Castillo couldn't push another run across.

Wilson, who surrendered the game-ending home run to Burrell on Friday, walked Burrell to start the 10th. With pitcher Adam Eaton on as a pinch-runner, Jenkins chopped a grounder to short that looked to be a sure double play, but Eugenio Velez's throw pulled Aurilia off the bag. But, Wilson fanned Carlos Ruiz and got Eric Bruntlett on a weak grounder to lock up the save.

Lewis worked a leadoff walk in the first, swiped second base and scored on Winn's one-out single.

Utley tied the game with one out in the fourth, launching his 13th homer of the season to the deepest section of the ballpark in left-center.

Lewis answered back with one out in the road fifth, lacing a line drive that just cleared the wall in right for a solo shot, but Jenkins tied the game in the bottom half, ripping a laser down the right field line that bounced off the top of the wall and into the crowd.

Each team put together threats over the later innings, but the pitching staffs and defenses held their grounds, with Taschner fanning Howard in the bottom of the ninth to send the game to extra frames.
