American League Game Summary - Chicago at Toronto

Final Score: Chicago WSox 2 - Toronto 5

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Jesse Litsch was dominant on the mound and Vernon Wells drove in three runs, as the Toronto Blue Jays downed the Chicago White Sox, 5-2, in the second of a four-game set from Rogers Centre.

Litsch (4-1) allowed two runs on five hits and struck out three over 7 1/3 innings for the Blue Jays, winners of three straight.

"Being able to just throw a lot of strikes and keep people off balance is what you want to do," Litsch said.

Wells finished 3-for-5 at the plate, while Alex Rios and David Eckstein each had two hits and scored a run. Marco Scutaro added a solo home run in the victory.

John Danks (2-3) was charged with two runs on sevens hits and fanned five in 4 2/3 innings for Chicago, which has dropped a season-high four in a row. Octavio Dotel surrendered three unearned runs in one inning of work.

Solo home runs from Jermaine Dye and Carlos Quentin provided the offense for the White Sox, who pounded out only six hits a day after Toronto's pitching staff limited them to two in a 2-0 loss. Paul Konerko was 2-for-4 in defeat.

The Blue Jays jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, as Eckstein stroked a one-out double and later scored on an RBI single from Wells.

Scutaro clubbed a leadoff home run in the third to make it 2-0.

Meanwhile, Litsch was perfect through four innings, though, a leadoff single by Konerko in the fifth snapped the drought for Chicago. Joe Crede doubled to begin the sixth and Pablo Ozuna bunted him over to third, where he was stranded after Litsch retired Nick Swisher and Orlando Cabrera.

Toronto padded its lead with three runs in the bottom of the sixth. With the bases loaded and two outs, Crede committed a throwing error to extend the frame and allow Rod Barajas, who drew a one-out walk, to score. Wells then ripped a two-run single to center to give the Blue Jays a 5-0 advantage.

Dye's third home run of the season put the White Sox on the board in the seventh and Quentin added a solo shot in the eighth.

B.J. Ryan worked around a one-out single by Konerko in the ninth to notch his fourth save of the season.
