Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Consecutive home runs by Miguel Tejada, Lance Berkman and Carlos Lee highlighted a four-run sixth inning, as the Houston Astros rallied to down the Milwaukee Brewers, 7-4, in the first test of a three-game weekend series at Minute Maid Park.
Roy Oswalt (3-3) allowed four runs -- three earned -- on six hits and four walks, while striking out six over six innings to pick up the win.
Hunter Pence finished with three runs batted in, blasting a two-run homer in the fifth and solo shot in the eighth for Houston, which has won two of its last three contests. Brad Ausmus, Tejada and Lee each had two hits for the Astros.
Carlos Villanueva (1-3) was sharp early on, but was victimized for six runs on nine hits in five-plus frames to absorb the loss.
Prince Fielder went 3-for-4 with a run scored, while Ryan Braun clubbed a two- run homer for the Brewers, who have dropped three of their last five outings. Mike Cameron added a solo homer in defeat.
Braun made it 2-0 early with an opposite field home run in the top of the first while Villanueva was dominant on the mound, retiring the first 11 batters he faced before Tejada lined a single to center.
Milwaukee added two runs in the fifth, as Cameron belted a lead off home run and J.J. Hardy added an RBI single.
However, the Astros responded in the bottom of the frame, cutting the deficit in half on Pence's second home run of the season and pulled ahead with four runs in the sixth.
Kazuo Matsui led off with a single and came around to score on Tejada's fifth homer of the year. Berkman and Lee followed with back-to-back homers to give the Astros a 6-4 lead.
