Clearwater, FL (Sports Network) - Vernon Wells went 2-for-3 with four runs batted in and David Eckstein doubled and knocked in a pair as the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 9-4 in Grapefruit League action.

Aaron Hill chipped with a two-run double for Toronto, while Jesse Litsch pitched four solid innings, allowing one run on two hits while striking out six.

Ryan Howard and Pedro Felix each hit solo homers for the Phillies. Philadelphia starter Kyle Kendrick was shelled, giving up six runs on seven hits in only two innings of work.
