Maryvale, AZ (Sports Network) - Claudio Vargas tossed five no-hit innings, allowing only a walk while fanning two, and five Brewers pitchers combined for a two-hitter as Milwaukee blanked Seattle, 2-0.

J.J. Hardy's two-run double provided all the offense for the Brewers. Derrick Turnbow, Eric Gagne, Erasmo Ramirez, and Tim Dillard each worked scoreless innings of relief, with only Gagne and Ramirez allowing hits for Milwaukee.

Miguel Batista allowed four hits and two runs in three innings of work, fanning two and walking three, to take the loss for the Mariners.
