Ken Griffey, Jr. doubled and drove in a run and starting pitcher Jeremy Affeldt was hit hard in 3 1/3 frames. The southpaw gave up six runs on six hits with two walks and two strikeouts.
Buddy Carlyle wasn't that much better for the Braves, surrendering four runs on six hits with three strikeouts over three innings. Matt Diaz finished with two hits and Martin Prado drove in a pair of runs in defeat.
