Skip Schumaker and Joe Mather each went 3-for-4 with a homer for the Cardinals, while Mather also doubled. Todd Wellemeyer allowed two runs in 3 2/3 innings in the start, giving up two hits and four walks, while striking out four. Jason Isringhausen picked up the win with a perfect inning of relief.
Cody Ross went 2-for-3 with two RBI for the Marlins, while Rex Rundgren doubled. Starter Aaron Thompson went three innings and gave up two runs, while Kevin Gregg got the loss after giving up three runs and all three homers in the fifth inning.
