Jeff Baisley drove in a run in his only at-bat for Oakland. Gio Gonzalez tossed three shutout innings in the start, and Santiago Casilla picked up the win with a scoreless inning of relief.
Daryle Ward doubled to drive in Chicago's only run. Jason Marquis also pitched three shutout innings in the start, but Jose Ceda gave up two runs in one- third of an inning for the loss.
