Mike Lamb went 2-for-3 with an RBI double as part of Minnesota's five-run first inning, and the Twins scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth to surge into the lead. Livan Hernandez was rocked in his three inning start, allowing six runs -- five earned -- on 10 hits, while Carmen Cali worked a scoreless eighth to earn the win.
Twins lefthander Francisco Liriano, who missed all of 2007 after undergoing "Tommy John" surgery, is set to make his spring training debut Friday as part of a split squad game against Boston.
