MLB Game Summary - Florida at Baltimore
Fort Lauderdale, FL (Sports Network) - Luis Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with a run batted in, as the Florida Marlins edged the Baltimore Orioles, 2-1, in Grapefruit League play.
Brett Carroll doubled and drove in a run for Florida, which scored twice in a the top of the first inning and held on for the win. Rick Vanden Hurk started and threw three scoreless innings, giving up just one hit. Joe Nelson picked up the save by allowing two hits in a scoreless ninth inning.
Tike Redman accounted for the only Baltimore run with a solo homer in the sixth inning. Starter Steve Trachsel picked up the loss by surrendering two runs in three innings, on five hits and a walk.
