MLB Game Summary - Chicago Cubs at Arizona
Tucson, AZ (Sports Network) - Alex Romero drove a pair of runs and the Arizona Diamondbacks scored four in the eighth to steal a 5-4 Cactus League win over the Chicago Cubs.
Juan Gutierrez tossed two perfect innings and struck out three in his start, while Brooks Brown picked up the win by holding the Cubs scoreless in the seventh and eighth, and Bill Murphy allowed one hit in the ninth for the save.
Justin Upton, Jesus Merchan and Chris Rahl drove in a run apiece for Arizona.
Cubs starter Carlos Zambrano pitched three scoreless innings and helped his cause offensively with a solo home run. Edward Campusano was touched for three runs on a hit and a walk and Tim Lahey was saddled with the loss after surrendering the go-ahead run.
Micah Hoffpauir keyed the Chicago offensive attack, going 2-for-4 with an RBI.
