Callix Crabbe, Chase Headley and Jody Gerut contributed two hits apiece to a 13-hit Padres attack, and Marshall McDougall had a double and three RBI. Chris Young yielded just two hits in his two-inning start, while six San Diego relievers combined to scatter three runs on six hits the rest of the way.
Brad Nelson hit a three-run homer for Milwaukee and J.J. Hardy drove in the other Brewers run. Starter Jeff Suppan took the loss, surrendering two runs on three hits in his two frames.
