Laynce Nix singled in the go-ahead run in the fourth inning for the Brewers. Prince Fielder had a hit, but was hit with pitches in the fourth and fifth innings. Corey Hart also drove in a run for Milwaukee.
Chris Capuano allowed three hits and two runs over two frames to get the victory, while Guillermo Mota struck out a pair in the ninth for the save.
Jon Garland threw two scoreless innings in the start for the Angels, who also got an RBI apiece from Juan Rivera and Mike Napoli.
