Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Bobby Crosby hit a solo home run, and the Oakland Athletics plated two runs in the bottom of the ninth to edge the Colorado Rockies, 3-2, in Cactus League action Sunday.
Trailing 2-1 in the ninth, Oakland got a triple from Brooks Conrad, an RBI single by Wes Bankston, and a double by Aaron Cunningham drove in Bankston with the winning run. Dana Eveland started for Oakland and threw two innings, allowing four hits and one run.
Chris Iannetta went 2-for-3 for the Rockies. Josh Towers and Mark Redman both pitched for Colorado, combining to hold the A's scoreless for six innings. Towers fanned three and allowed two hits, while Redman struck out four over three perfect frames.
