MLB Game Summary - Michigan at NY Mets

Final Score: Michigan 4 - NY Mets 4

Port St. Lucie, FL (Sports Network) - Michel Abreu and David Wright each hit a two-run homer, as the New York Mets played to a 4-4 tie with the University of Michigan in the team's spring training opener.

Abreu's blast proved to be game-saving, as Michigan had taken a two-run lead on Derek VanBuskirk's two-run homer off Ryan Cullen in the top of the eighth. But Abreu, a non-roster invitee, homered with two out in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game.

Abreu also doubled, while Jason Vargas got the start for the Mets, and allowed one run on one hit in two innings, while striking out two. Jose Reyes doubled and scored a run.
