(Sports Network) - The Baltimore Orioles try to string back-to-back wins together for the first time in nearly a month this evening when they play the second test of a four-game series against the Cleveland Indians at Camden Yards.
Baltimore snapped an eight-game losing streak on Monday, as Aubrey Huff's grand slam was one of four Orioles' home runs in their 14-3 win.
Huff finished with three hits, while Adam Jones had three hits, including a three-run homer for Baltimore, which won for just the second time in its last 15 tries and hasn't won consecutive games since a three-game tear from August 13-15.
Garrett Olson (9-7) got the win after allowing three runs on eight hits and three walks in six innings of work, with six strikeouts.
Starter Fausto Carmona (8-6) was shelled for seven runs on six hits and four walks in 5 1/3 frames and took the loss for Cleveland, while reliever Brendan Donnelly managed to give up five runs -- on two homers -- in one-third of an inning.
Asdrubal Cabrera collected three hits, two of them doubles, and drove in two for the Indians, who have lost three of five.
Cleveland will hand the ball to lefty Jeremy Sowers, who has lost his last two starts. Sowers was tagged with the loss on Wednesday against the Chicago White Sox, as he allowed four runs and six hits in 5 1/3 innings to drop him to 2-8 on the year, while raising his earned run average to 5.97.
Sowers is 0-2 lifetime against the Orioles with a 9.50 ERA in four starts.
Baltimore will counter with righty Radhames Liz, who is 5-4 with a 7.91 ERA. Liz was tagged with the loss last Tuesday in Boston, as the Red Sox battered him for nine runs and nine hits in just 3 1/3 innings.
Liz has never faced the Indians.
These teams split a four-game series in Cleveland from August 11-14, as well as a four-game set at Camden Yards during May of the 2007 season, the Indians' last visit to Baltimore.
