Chicago White Sox (77-60) at Cleveland Indians (66-70), 7:05 p.m.

(Sports Network) - In an effort to turn around their recent lack of success on the road, the Chicago White Sox send out a pitcher who's performed well in enemy parks this season for tonight's clash with the Cleveland Indians.

In 13 road starts thus far in 2008, John Danks has amassed an impressive 6-2 record along with a 2.87 earned run average for the White Sox. The second-year hurler is coming off a rough outing in Baltimore last Wednesday, however, and brings a personal two-start losing streak into this evening's tilt as well.

Danks lasted just four innings against the Orioles and allowed four runs on seven hits while also walking three batters in Chicago's 11-3 setback. The young left-hander has issued 10 walks over his last three starts, spanning 16 1/3 innings.

The 23-year-old, who will be working on an additional day of rest tonight, will attempt to get back on track versus a Cleveland club he's excelled against in two previous starts this year. Although Danks did not get a decision in either mound trip, he limited the Indians to just two runs and six hits in 14 2/3 innings over those two games.

For his career, Danks is 1-2 with a 3.67 ERA in six starts against Cleveland.

The White Sox will also be seeking a rebound from last night's shutdown by Tribe ace Cliff Lee. The Cy Young Award candidate spun a five-hit shutout to become the first 20-game winner in the majors this season and lead Cleveland to a 5-0 victory.

Lee (20-2) did not walk a batter or surrender an extra-base hit in his 109- pitch gem. The All-Star lefty became the first Indians pitcher to win 20 games in a season since Gaylord Perry in 1974.

Shin-Soo Choo went 3-for-4 with an RBI to pace Cleveland offensively, while Asdrubal Cabrera drove in a pair of runs to help the Indians halt a three-game slide.

Rookie Clayton Richard (2-3) took the loss for Chicago after giving up four runs (3 earned) on six hits in just four-plus innings of work.

Monday's loss dropped the White Sox into a first-place tie with Minnesota in the American League Central standings. It was Chicago's fourth defeat in its last five games, all of which have taken place on the road.

The White Sox fell to 31-39 as the visitor this season and are 3-4 on their current nine-game road trip.

Chicago will have to deal with Fausto Carmona, who's won back-to-back starts for the Indians to run his season record to 7-5, this evening.

Carmona's run began when he yielded one unearned run over six innings to defeat Texas on August 22. The talented right-hander wasn't as sharp in Wednesday's matchup at Detroit, as he permitted four runs and seven hits through six frames, but received plenty of run support in the Tribe's 9-7 decision.

A 19-game winner in 2007, Carmona hasn't faced the White Sox since his first start of the season, back on April 2. He held Chicago to one run and four hits over seven innings to get the win in Cleveland's 7-2 triumph at Progressive Field.

Lifetime against the White Sox, Carmona is 2-3 with a 5.09 ERA in eight games, six of which have been starts.

The White Sox are 9-4 against the Indians so far this season, but Cleveland has taken four of the seven meetings between the divisional foes at Progressive Field.
