Baltimore Orioles (57-62) at Cleveland Indians (54-65), 7:05 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Recently acquired southpaw Zach Jackson makes his first appearance in an Indians uniform tonight when Cleveland closes out a four-game series with the visiting Baltimore Orioles at Progressive Field.

Jackson began the season with the Milwaukee Brewers and their Triple-A team in Nashville, but came to the Cleveland organization in the deal that sent starter CC Sabathia to the National League in July.

He'd since been suiting up for the Indians' Triple-A club in Buffalo and was called up when Cleveland dealt veteran hurler Paul Byrd to the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday.

Jackson made seven starts in eight appearances with the Brewers in 2006 and was 2-2, then posted a 4.91 earned run average in 3 2/3 innings over two outings for Milwaukee this year.

He was 3-1 with a 4.05 ERA over eight outings -- four starts -- with Buffalo.

Countering for the Orioles is Daniel Cabrera, who's looking to stay unbeaten for his career against Cleveland.

The 27-year-old Dominican is 2-0 with a stingy 0.64 ERA in 14 innings against the Indians, allowing just seven hits and a run over two starts while walking six batters and striking out 11.

He's been equally solid overall while winning two of his three most recent outings, downing Texas with six innings of shutout ball on August 9 and scattering eight hits and three runs over seven innings of a 7-6 win against the New York Yankees on July 29.

Previously, his last had come July 2, when he tossed a complete game against the Kansas City Royals, allowing seven hits and two runs.

He is 4-6 with a 4.45 ERA in 15 road starts in 2008.

On Wednesday, Jeremy Guthrie tossed seven strong innings, and Aubrey Huff homered and drove in two runs as the Orioles downed the Indians, 6-1.

Nick Markakis went 3-for-4, drove in two, and scored, and Melvin Mora also had three hits and scored for the Orioles, who had dropped three straight.

Guthrie (10-8) allowed just four hits and one run with four strikeouts and a walk to pick up the win.

Anthony Reyes (3-2) gave up two runs on six hits in six frames, with no strikeouts and two walks to take the loss. Grady Sizemore drove in the lone run for the Indians, who saw their five-game winning streak come to an end.

This series marks the first meeting between these clubs this season. Cleveland won four of seven games against Baltimore last year.
