Colorado Rockies (50-62) at Florida Marlins (59-52), 1:10 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Scott Olsen has had trouble handling the Rockies in the past. He'll get a chance to improve on his numbers against them today, as his Florida Marlins wrap a four-game series with Colorado at Dolphin Stadium.

Olsen is 1-2 in four career starts with the Rockies and has an 11.09 earned run average against them. He did little to help those numbers the first time he faced Colorado this year, giving up nine runs, eight of which were earned, on 11 hits in a no-decision on July 4. Colorado won that wild contest, 18-17.

The 24-year-old left-hander, who is 6-6 with a 4.04 ERA this year, allowed homers to Matt Holliday, Chris Iannetta and Ryan Spilborghs in that setback. Though he has lost two straight outings heading into today's start, he did pitch well on Tuesday versus the Mets. Olsen allowed just two runs on six hits over 5 2/3 innings of a 4-1 setback.

Getting Holliday out for a change might be the key for Olsen turning his career around versus the Rockies. Holliday has seven hits in 10 career at-bats versus Olsen, totaling two homers and three RBI. Iannetta, meanwhile, has two career hits in six at-bats against him, both home runs.

Colorado will start 33-year-old Glendon Rusch today. Rusch had won three straight starts before getting a no-decision on Tuesday against the Pirates. He allowed three runs on six hits over five innings without a walk.

The left-hander is 3-1 with a 5.20 ERA in six games (5 starts) with Colorado this year. Lifetime against Florida, Rusch is 3-7 with a 5.33 ERA in 16 games (12 starts).

Florida has taken two of three so far in this series, including Saturday's 5-3 victory. John Baker connected on a two-run homer and drove in three runs total in the victory.

Jeremy Hermida added two hits and a run scored, while Josh Willingham had a triple, double and scored two runs to give the Marlins their third win in four games. The Marlins trail the Phillies by 1 1/2 games for first place in the National League East. Florida begins a three-game set with Philadelphia on Tuesday.

Jorge Cantu, meanwhile, doubled in the first inning and is hitting .313 (15- for-48) over an 11-game hitting streak with six doubles, a homer and four RBI.

Holliday provided most of the offense yesterday for the Rockies, going 3-for-4 with two solo homers. Seth Smith and Willy Taveras were the only other Colorado players to record hits for the Rockies, who have lost four of six.

Colorado has won four of seven from the Marlins this year after the two teams split the season series each of the previous three campaigns.
