(Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Brewers will try to stay perfect on their current 10-game homestand as they open a four-game series versus the Colorado Rockies tonight at Miller Park.

Milwaukee opened the current residency by sweeping the Pittsburgh Pirates in three games and improved to 28-13 as the host this season. In Sunday's 11-6 victory over the Buccos in the series finale, J.J. Hardy led the way with a pair of home runs and four RBI.

Ryan Braun got into the act with three hits, including a solo home run, while Bill Hall had three RBI and Corey Hart added two runs batted in for the Brewers, who have won five of six overall.

Also on Sunday, Braun was revealed as an outfield starter for the National League for this season's All-Star Game, to be played July 15 at Yankee Stadium.

Brewers starter Jeff Suppan had a shaky outing, allowing six runs on five hits in just three innings of work. The Milwaukee bullpen, though, tossed six scoreless innings of relief, with Mitch Stetter collecting the win with two shutout frames.

The victory kept Milwaukee 3 1/2 games behind the Chicago Cubs in the NL Central standings.

In recent news for the Brewers, it has been reported that the ballclub has bolstered its staff by trading for Cleveland Indians starting pitcher C.C. Sabathia for minor-league prospects. According to the Milwaukee Journal- Sentinel, the deal is contingent upon paperwork being finalized and medical reports being exchanged. The reigning American League Cy Young Award winner could be in action for the Brewers by Tuesday.

Sabathia is 6-8 with a 3.83 earned run average this season.

Taking the ball for the Brewers on Monday will Seth McClung, who is 5-3 with a 4.18 ERA in 19 games (8 starts) this season. McClung is 2-0 in his previous four trips to the hill, but hasn't factored into the decision over the past two outings.

McClung last pitched on Wednesday at Arizona and was reached for two runs and eight hits in 5 1/3 innings of a 4-3 Milwaukee triumph. The righty will face the Rockies for the first time tonight.

Colorado had its season-high five-game winning streak stopped with Sunday's 10-5 setback to the Florida Marlins in the finale of a four-game series at Coors Field. Ryan Spilborghs drove in two runs and Brad Hawpe homered for the Rockies, who are seven games off Arizona's lead in the NL West.

NL All-Star Matt Holliday went 2-for-5 for the Rockies, while fellow All-Star Aaron Cook was tagged for seven runs on 11 hits in 7 1/3 frames to absorb the loss.

Colorado will begin a seven-game road trip on Monday and is just 12-31 as the visitor this season. It has dropped six in a row on the road.

The Rockies will hand the ball to Ubaldo Jimenez this evening, and he is still in search of his first road win of 2008. In nine starts in opposing stadiums, Jimenez is 0-6 with a 6.96 ERA and has allowed the home team to hit .324 against him.

Jimenez has won in two of his last three trips to the mound, including last Wednesday's victory over San Diego. In that 8-1 triumph at Coors Field, Jimenez allowed one run and five hits through 6 1/3 innings.

The right-hander faced Milwaukee for the first time back on June 6 of this season at Coors Field, allowing four runs and five hits in six innings for a no-decision. Colorado won the game by a 6-4 score.

Colorado won two of three games versus the Brewers at home from June 6-8 and has won six of the last nine meetings in the series.
