Milwaukee Brewers (44-36) at Minnesota Twins (44-37), 2:10 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Brewers and Minnesota Twins will collide this afternoon in the rubber match of a three-game set at the Metrodome.

Red-hot Ben Sheets will take the hill this afternoon for the Brewers, trying to collect his 10th win of the season. Sheets has been one of the top pitchers in the majors of late, winning five of his last seven outings, and has not suffered a setback since falling to Los Angeles back in the middle of May.

The right-hander completely dominated the Atlanta Braves this past Monday, tossing nine strong innings en route to a 4-1 win. In the victory, Sheets surrendered just one run on four hits, and struck out seven batters, while walking none.

Sheets has been just as dominant on the road this season, and in 10 starts he has an impressive 6-0 ledger with an equally strong 2.41 ERA.

The Twins will turn to 24-year-old Kevin Slowey, as he will try to grab his third victory in his last four starts. Slowey is coming off an excellent outing in which he tossed six scoreless innings against the San Diego Padres. The right-hander did not factor in the 3-1 win, but did finish with seven strike outs without walking a batter.

Earlier this month, Slowey baffled the Brewers, giving up a pair of runs in eight solid innings.

Unfortunately the Texas native has not performed well on the road, posting a mere 1-3 ledger and a 4.71 ERA in four starts.

On Saturday, Manny Parra scattered two hits and struck out six over seven scoreless innings to win his seventh straight decision, as the Brewers cooled off the red-hot Twins, 5-1.

Parra (8-2) has not lost since May 3 at Houston. David Riske tossed a 1-2-3 eighth and Mitch Stetter surrendered a run in the ninth.

Bill Hall doubled home two runs for the Brewers, who snapped a two-game losing streak. Jason Kendall finished 2-for-4 and knocked in run, while Corey Hart added an RBI double. Milwaukee is 9-3 in its last 12 contests.

Livan Hernandez (8-5) allowed five runs -- four earned -- on seven hits in seven innings to absorb the loss for Minnesota, which had won a season-high 10 straight. The right-hander also struck out five and walked four. Boof Bonser hurled two scoreless frames in relief.

Jason Kubel's 12th home run of the season off Stetter broke up the shutout bid with two outs in the ninth. Delmon Young and Brendan Harris collected the other hits for Minnesota.

The Twins took two of three when the teams collide in Milwaukee after splitting six matchups last year. The Brewers are 7-7 against the AL this season.
