Arizona Diamondbacks (40-39) at Florida Marlins (40-38), 7:10 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Two reeling teams begin the lone National League series of the weekend tonight, when the Arizona Diamondbacks head to Dolphin Stadium to open a three-game set with the Florida Marlins.

The Diamondbacks dropped a 5-0 decision at Boston Wednesday for their fifth loss in six games, while the Marlins were beaten, 6-1, by visiting Tampa Bay on Thursday for their fourth straight loss and fifth in six games overall.

Arizona right-hander Micah Owings will be trying to stop a streak of his own after going winless in five straight starts.

The Georgia native was 6-2 after a 9-3 win in Atlanta on May 25, but has since gone 0-4 and seen his earned run average for 2008 rise from 3.73 to 5.11.

He's 0-1 lifetime against the Marlins, with the loss coming May 20 in Miami after he allowed seven hits and three runs in seven innings of the Diamondbacks' 3-2 loss.

Florida counters with California-born right-hander Ricky Nolasco, who's 2-0 lifetime against Arizona.

The 25-year-old, a former fourth-round pick of the Chicago Cubs (2001), was a 3-1 winner against the Diamondbacks on May 21 after giving up three runs and a hit in seven innings.

In 14 1/3 innings over two starts against them, he's allowed nine hits and four runs, while walking three batters and striking out 11.

Overall, Nolasco has won six of his last seven decisions since beginning the season at 1-3.

On Thursday in Miami, Matt Garza took a no-hitter into the seventh and finished with a one-hitter for his first career complete game, as the Tampa Bay Rays completed a sweep of the Marlins with a 6-1 victory.

Mark Hendrickson (7-6) continued to struggle for the Marlins, dropping his fourth straight decision and failing to record a quality start in his seventh consecutive game.

Hendrickson went only 4 2/3 innings, giving up five runs on five hits with three strikeouts and five walks.

On Wednesday in Boston, Tim Wakefield allowed two hits and no runs over seven innings, and Kevin Cash hit a key three-run homer as Boston topped Arizona, 5-0, in the finale of a three-game interleague set from Fenway Park.

Orlando Hudson finished 2-for-4 for the Diamondbacks, who have dropped five of six.

Randy Johnson (4-6) was charged with eight hits and two runs over six innings en route to losing his fifth consecutive start.

Florida has won all three of its matchups with the D'Backs this season after going 1-6 against them last season.
