Texas Rangers (39-39) at Houston Astros (36-41), 8:05 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Long-time Houston ace Roy Oswalt can make it three wins in four starts tonight when the Astros host the Texas Rangers in the middle test of a three-game Lone Star State interleague series.

Oswalt started the season 4-3, but subsequently struggled through a stretch in late May/early-June where he was winless in four straight starts.

He righted the ship with a 6-1 victory against Milwaukee on June 10, then made it two of three on June 20 with a 4-3 win at Tampa Bay, in which he allowed seven hits and two runs in 7 2/3 innings.

He dropped a 6-2 decision to the Rangers on May 17 in Arlington and is 4-4 against them in 10 career starts, posting a 4.00 earned run average in 69 2/3 innings.

Young right-hander Scott Feldman makes his 11th start of the season hoping to end a skid that's seen him winless in seven straight outings.

He defeated Oakland, 4-0, on May 9 after allowing two hits in six innings, but is 0-2 with five no-decisions since, including a seven-inning outing against Atlanta on June 19 in the Rangers' 5-4 win.

That victory, though Feldman got a no-decision, ended a streak in which Texas had lost six straight games in which he'd appeared.

Feldman has faced the Astros four times in relief, allowing six hits and four runs in 5 1/3 innings.

On Tuesday, Lance Berkman's 21st home run of the season supported veteran Brian Moehler's strong pitching performance, as Houston slipped past Texas, 4-3.

Moehler (4-3) surrendered one run on five hits with a pair of walks and five strikeouts over 6 1/3 frames. Jose Valverde gave up a two-run home run to Ramon Vazquez in the ninth, but managed to record three outs for his 19th save.

Ty Wigginton finished 2-for-3 for the Astros, who have won two straight games and three of four.

Moehler's counterpart Eric Hurley (0-1) was just 9 when Moehler was drafted, but he held his own on the mound, giving up two runs on six hits with three walks and one strikeout over six innings.

Texas took two of three from the Astros earlier in the season and has won six of the last 10 matchups.
