Seattle Mariners (26-48) at Atlanta Braves (37-39), 1:35 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Carlos Silva will try to notch his first win in more than two months today, as he guides the Seattle Mariners into action against the Atlanta Braves in the finale of a three-game interleague set at Turner Field.

After winning three consecutive decisions to open the season, Silva has been flat out awful, going 0-8 with an 8.49 ERA in his last nine starts. He has not picked up a win since April 17th and the Mariners have dropped each of his last six starts.

On Monday, the right-hander yielded three earned runs and five hits before being ejected after 4 2/3 innings of a 6-1 loss to the Florida Marlins.

Silva is 2-0 with a 2.12 ERA in 17 career appearances, one start, against the Braves.

Countering for Atlanta will be Tim Hudson, who hasn't won a start in exactly a month. Since defeating the New York Mets on May 22nd, the right-hander has gone 0-2 over five appearances with the Braves losing each one of those starts.

Hudson is also coming off his worst performance of the season, surrendering six earned runs and six hits over 4 1/3 innings of a 7-5 loss to the Texas Rangers on Tuesday.

In 23 career starts versus the Mariners, Hudson is 12-6 with a 3.32 ERA and a pair of complete games. Hudson, however, is 0-10 with a 7.82 ERA in 12 interleague outings since joining the Braves.

Behind the solid arm of Hudson, the Braves will look to take the series from the Mariners after Brian McCann's RBI single in the ninth helped Atlanta come- from-behind to defeat Seattle, 5-4, on Saturday.

Ruben Gotay hit a solo home run while Greg Norton went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored for the Braves, who had lost three of four coming in.

Blaine Boyer (2-5) got the win for pitching a scoreless ninth. Jair Jurrjens started on the mound and gave up three runs on three hits with two walks and four strikeouts in six innings of work.

Yuniesky Betancourt went 2-for-4 with three RBI while Jeremy Reed drove in the other run for the Mariners, who have dropped six of eight and lost their first game under manager Jim Riggleman, who took over on the bench when the team fired John McLaren on Thursday.

Jarrod Washburn pitched well in the start as he gave up just one run on six hits with three walks and eight strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings of work. Miguel Batista (3-9) was handed the loss for blowing the lead in the ninth.

Atlanta is hosting Seattle in the regular season for the first time in club history. These clubs had met just once prior, with the Mariners taking two of three over the Braves at Safeco Field from June 13-15, 2003.
